By providing English education, child care and adolescent development programs within a loving and nurturing environment, the youth are prepared for successful entrance into adult maturity and success.

In 2006, working within the Gaza Strip, Seeds of Hope (SoH) began a Kindergarten teaching 3 and 4 year olds English. The school, Hope Kindergarten, opened in September 2006 with 60 students. Most of the parents living in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, understand that the student who speaks English fluently will go far in their education and in life. For this reason, speaking English is a skill that is sought after by all. The school was forcibly closed by subversive forces in 2008 and, at that time, had over 100 students enrolled with a waiting list of 300.

Seeds of Hope then regrouped and opened another Hope Kindergarten in Jericho, West Bank in 2009. In December 2010 opened its first “Little Hearts” Daycare and will also open its first school in Jerusalem, SoH – Jacob’s Ladder Preschool, in Fall 2011.  Seeds of Hope not only teaches skills, but seeks to create a loving, nurturing environment, because young children learn best and bloom like beautiful flowers within a safe secure environment. We use this approach with all ages. When youth come to our “afterschool program” for students in the recreational center, they can play table games, video games, exercise and sports, while they are cared for and attended by trained counselors who lead them with care and concern for their character development. Good sportsmanship, fair play and respect for each other and the facility is taught to all who enter.

Our Cultural Learning and Recreation Center is also equipped with state of the art computers and classrooms where we teach adult education classes on English language, computer skills and other relevant topics for life skills such as basic first aid, parenting classes and women’s exercise classes.
