About Us

Mission Statement
Seeds of Hope is working to make a difference in the lives of children and families throughout the Middle East. Founded in 2006, Seeds of Hope works with local citizens and charities to provide modern day necessities to the impoverished communities in the Arab world. Our desire is to bring long-term change to families through education, economic development, cultural exchange, and humanitarian aid.

Where we work
Seeds of Hope is currently working to plant a cultural learning center and daycare/kindergarten school in Jericho. The learning center will teach young children and youth the English language. We are also working to bring micro-businesses to this impoverished area. Because of economic conditions in Jericho and the West Bank, Palestinians have difficulty finding employment. This means that families suffer a limited financial base. This project will provide a steady income for Palestinian managers and their employees. Training will be given to these small business owners to insure their success. At present, Seeds of Hope is helping one family develop a new agricultural business, date farming. And will also help several families with establishing an egg farming business in the West Bank.

How we started
Taysir Abu Saada, Founder and President of Seeds of Hope, was born in Gaza in 1951. His parents immigrated to Saudi Arabia in 1951 shortly after his birth, where he grew up. In 1974 he moved to the United States, met and married an American girl and began pursuing his dreams.

He worked his way to the top in the Restaurant and Hotel management business becoming very successful. Although he enjoyed his life in the US, the love in his heart for his people was beating harder and louder. In 2008, it was becoming increasingly clear to him that more needed to be done to help his people. The Arab people had for so long lived among the violence and poverty, the thought of peace and freedom had become a hopeless dream. Tass founded Seeds of Hope in order to combat that hopelessness which has hindered his people from enjoying life.
At Seeds of Hope, we recognize that the only way to provide these God-given rights to the Arab people is to physically instill hope into their communities. We believe that through providing simple things such as clean water and nutritious food, we can also show them a more profitable way of living. Every man has the right to work and every man has the right to pursue happiness. Our goal is to come alongside the people of Jericho and the West Bank, encouraging them to contribute to society; consequently, establishing a working community that gives hope where once there was none.
